Help Our Teachers Attend the AMS Conference!

Fifteen of our teachers would like to attend the American Montessori Association Conference, held in San Francisco this year.  We would like to support their efforts to further their Montessori education, so we are asking for parents to help offset the conference fees, which are hundreds of dollars per teacher!  Please make a donation to the NSM PTA, and bring the check to the office with a note that it is for the conference fees.  Please click here for more information.

Dinner Night Out at Jack's Prime

Please join our NSM families and friends at Jack's Prime (3723 South El Camino Real, San Mateo) for our monthly Dinner Night Out fundraiser. Jack's Prime will donate a portion of the proceeds to NSM when you present the flyer with your order, dine in or take out.

Author Event

Monday, February 6, 9:00 am (for grades 4-8)

Two authors are coming for a mock debate:  Ms. Janie Havemeyer, author of Catherine de Medici, the Black Queen and Ms. Natasha Yim, author of Cixi, the Dragon Empress. The books are part of the series "The Thinking Girl's Treasury of Dastardly Dames."  A 20% discount will be offered to our students, and the authors will sign their books.  Please print out the attached order form.  Parents are welcome.

Book Event with Author Jennifer Fosberry

Wednesday, February 22, 9:45 am (for grades K-2)

New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Fosberry will be making a stop at our school during her release of her new book Isabella, Girl on the Go. Parents can order personalized copies of the book. Completed order forms due in the office by February 21st.   Please print out the attached order form.  Parents are welcome.

NSM Parents: Make a Difference by Joining eScrip

This school year, we’ve had 20 new supporters join the NSM eScrip program.  eScrip is a program of pennies adding up to big bucks, but we need more members to increase the cash flow to our school.  Many local and online merchants are part of the eScrip program. If you shop regularly at SAFEWAY, Key Market, Piazza’s, or Mollie Stones, and many other merchants, you can make a big difference by joining eScrip!

Order Your Yearbook Now!

Order your NSM 2011-2012 yearbook now.  Our full color yearbooks are only $14.00 each if ordered by March 1, 2012.  After March 1, 2012, the price for a yearbook goes up to $16.00.  Please make checks payable to "NSM PTA." Give the completed envelope with payment to your student's teacher.

Do you have a business or service that you would like to advertise?  Buy a space in this year's yearbook.  A full-color business card sized space is only $25.  Please email Alison Pineda at yearbook@nsmontessori.org for more information.
