Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Below is a list of opportunities to consider. As the year progresses, projects and events needing immediate help will be posted on the website. Thank you for considering these activities and for committing to make North Shoreview even greater. Please sign up on the volunteer forms (click here) or ask the school staff how you can help.

Classroom Assistance

Be a room parent, drive or chaperone on field trips, help sew the class quilt, stuff weekly envelopes, volunteer in the classroom.

Fundraising Activities

Help chair the annual auction or help on a committee, help with grant writing and research, help with the gift-wrap sale, and help with various fundraising programs (eScrip, Box Tops for Education, Campbell's Labels for Education, and recycling).

Enrichment

Help organize and staff enrichment events such as Math Night, Spring Carnival, Skate Night, Pancake Breakfast, movie nights, and Literacy Week.

Committees and Clubs

Volunteer to help in one or more of the many committees and clubs at NSM:

Administrative Assistance

Help in the office, give school tours to prospective parents, volunteer with the School Safety Patrol, help with Spanish or Tongan translations, or be a room parent coordinator.

Just Show Up!

Your attendance at PTA meetings and Parent Education events (Open House, Principal's Coffees) also counts towards your volunteer hours!  (But no, just attending enrichment events and school performances does not count, unless you are organizing or working at those events.)
