Current Calls for Volunteer Help

  • Library Help Needed: Two parents needed to help inventory and shelve books to add to our school leveled library.  If interested, please see Mrs. Curry (Room 14) or Ms. Taylor (Room 11) to set up a time for a brief training. We are estimating that the job will take about 5 hours at your convenience.
  • Auction Help Needed: The annual auction requires the help of many to be a success.  From party planning to donation collecting to working the night of the auction, please email auction2012@nsmontessori.org to help make our biggest fundraiser of the year a success!
  • North Shoreview Montessori Logowear:  We need someone to take over handling both the inventory and selling of the new (and the classic) NSM logowear.  Minimal time commitment.  Training provided.  Perfect job for someone who is organized and can spend a little time on Friday mornings filling orders and replacing inventory (most weeks there will be no orders).  For more info, please contact Emily at fundraising@nsmontessori.org.
  • Morning Safety Patrol / Crossing Guards:  see Ana or send email to safety@nsmontessori.org
  • Classroom help: see your child's teacher
  • "The Closet Crew" is a new volunteer opportunity for people who itch to straighten things up. Two or three volunteers are needed.
  • Find Artistic Inspiration for NSM  We are adding some beautification/artistic projects around campus and need your help.  We are looking for people experienced in outdoor painting, those with experience designing or painting murals, and anyone who thinks they may have ideas or interest working on such a project. Contact Susan Kling-Freeman at art@nsmontessori.
  • Be our Earth Day Coordinator... in charge of planning our school's annual Earth Day event on April 27
  • Literacy Coordinator... in charge of planning author visits and other literacy activities throughout the school year
  • Community Service/Social Action Coordinator... in charge of planning a few projects where NSM students can do their part to make a positive impact on the local community or the world at large. For more information, contact Petra, ptapres@nsmontessori.org.
