North Shoreview Montessori

North Shoreview Montessori  participates in the Music For Minors (MFM) program, a nonprofit organization which trains volunteers to teach music in local elementary grade classrooms. Each year a few parents and community members take the fall training class, consisting of 54 hours of hands-on training twice a week for 11 weeks starting in mid-September. They then have access to workshops and resources through MFM, which they use in their teaching at NSM.

If you are thinking about ways to get more involved in your child's classroom, and if you enjoy music and singing, please consider becoming a MFM docent. Find out more about this rewarding volunteer opportunity by attending one of the volunteer information meetings held each fall.  You can also help support MFM by attending their spring benefit concerts featuring acclaimed children's musicians.
