Thank You to our Community Supporters!

Please patronize the following businesses to convey your thanks.  They are all locally owned and care about the community, including our school:

Filoli Estate, via our benefactor Phyllis Mitchell, San Mateo Arboretum Member, has given our school 20+ bearded iris rhizomes, which were planted on school grounds during the Oct. 9th Greens & Grounds event.  These include rare, choice varieties that when in bloom, will cause even the casual observer to swoon.

San Mateo Arboretum Club members, channeled by the generosity of Phyllis Mitchell, gave our school another 20+ bearded iris rhizomes, which were also planted that Sunday.  The master gardeners who grew these plants selected them for their vigor, flash and staying power.  Next spring is going to be a show stopper!  Incidentally, the bergenia (common name: Elephant’s ear) plants in the front garden on campus are from Phyllis’ garden a few years ago.

Golden Nursery of San Mateo donated to our school again, this time contri-buting 60 ‘Purple Prince’ tulip and 25 ‘Delft Blue’ hyacinth bulbs.  We hope these will be in bloom during the National Montessori Conference tour.

Central Garden Center of San Mateo donated 64 mid-spring blooming daffodil bulbs.

Cresco Equipment Rentals of Burlingame came through again with a loaned grass seed spreader, used to seed bare spots on the Sports Field.

You may have noticed that the sidewalk in front of the Pre-school and Middle School now has plants as well as trees.  These were put in by a dedicated and talented crew on G&G day, 77 plants in all.  Without the loan of 1 and 2 gallon pots, to hold the plant divisions dug from school parents’ gardens, it couldn’t be done.  Thanks again to Golden Nursery, Central Garden Center and Carlmont Nursery.

A special thank you goes to the Keane family and the Landucci family for donating professional services and equipment to remodel our Staff Lounge. Beautiful cabinets, a new dishwasher, sink and refrigerator were installed in the room by Keane Kitchens and Landucci Painting brought in a crew of professional painters to give the room a beautiful setting with a fresh paint job.
