The 2017 Montessori Maker Faire is April 21, 2017, 6-8:30pm at the NSM Gym.
The Montessori Maker Faire is part Science Fair, part Arts/Craft Fair, part hands-on demos. It’s a 3-hour event where parents and student “Makers” can show what they have made and share what they have learned. This show-and-tell can cover a wide span of areas, from arts & crafts, music to electric circuits, robots and technology! Adult volunteers will lead hands-on activities that invite students (and grown-ups too!) to make something during the event. Check out the program from last year’s NSM Program: Click Here
The Montessori Maker Faire has been inspired by the Maker Faire which launched in the Bay Area in 2006. The Maker Faire demonstrated the popularity of making and the interest among legions of aspiring makers to participate in hands-on activities and learn new skills at the event.
The Montessori Maker Faire is a registered School Maker Faire with Maker Media. Maker Media publishes Make: magazine, produces Maker Faire, and offers DIY electronics, tools, kits, and books through its online and pop-up Maker Shed stores.
